8 Operation

8.1 Switching On the Equipment

- Press the On/Off button(1).
- The appliance is switched on. The temperature display and Alarm symbol (10)
fl ash until the temperature is cold enough.
- If "DEMO" is displayed, demo mode is activated.

8.2 Brightness of the Temperature Display

You can adjust the brightness of the temperature display to the light conditions
of the room in which the appliance is installed.

8.2.1 Adjusting the brightness

The backlight can either be switched off or set to one of 5 levels. The backlight
is switched off ex works.
- To activate the setting mode: Press the SuperFrost button (2) for about 5
seconds.
- The menu symbol (9) shines and the child lock symbol (8) fl ashes.
- Press the setting button (6) to select the brightness function.
- The child lock symbol (8) goes out and the brightness symbol (3) fl ashes.
- To confi rm: Briefl y press the SuperFrost button (2).
- The brightness symbol (3) shines.
- Using the setting button (6), select either "off" or the brightness wanted. The
more display fi elds of the temperature display that light up, the brighter
it is. If no fi eld is lit up, it means "off".
- To confi rm: Press the SuperFrost button (2).
- The brightness symbol (3) fl ashes.
- The brightness is adjusted to the new value.
- To deactivate the setting mode: Press the On/Off button (1) or wait for 5
minutes.
- The brightness symbol (3) and the menu symbol (9) go out.
- The temperature is indicated again in the temperature display.

8.3 Lock against Accidental Handling

The accidental handling lock function enables you to make sure that the
equipment is not inadvertently switched off by an accidental handling.
8.3.1 To activate accidental handling lock
- To activate the setting mode: Press the SuperFrost button (2) for about 5
seconds.
- The menu symbol (9) shines and the accidental handling lock symbol (8)
fl ashes.
- Briefl y press the SuperFrost button (2) to select the accidental handling
lock function.
- The accidental handling lock symbol (8) shines. The -15°C and -21°C LEDs
shine in the temperature display.
- Briefl y press the SuperFrost button (2) to activate the accidental handling lock.
- The accidental handling lock symbol (8) fl ashes. The -15°C and -21°C LEDs
go out.
- To deactivate the setting mode: Press the On/Off button (1) or wait for 5
minutes.
- The menu symbol (9) goes out and the temperature is displayed again in the
temperature display. The accidental handling lock symbol (8) shines.
8.3.2 To deactivate accidental handling lock
- To activate the setting mode: Press the SuperFrost button (2) for about 5
seconds.
- The menu symbol (9) shines and the accidental handling lock symbol (8)
fl ashes.
- Briefl y press the SuperFrost button (2) to select the accidental handling
lock function.
- The accidental handling lock symbol (8) shines. The -18ºC LED shines in
the temperature display.
