5.2 Connecting to a flexible shaft

Item No. HPX-S should be connected to a flexible shaft with a European stan-
dard slip-joint connection.
Item No. HPX-B should be connected to a flexible shaft with a US standard
ball-joint, key-hole connection.

5.3 Changing the collet

The collet can be changed by means of the 2 spanners according to Fig. 2.

5.4 Recommended tools

Any type of grinding, deburring or polishing tool can be used in this hand-pie-
ce. However, we recommend not to use tools heavier or larger in diameter
than necessary. For tools with a 2.35 or 3.0 mm shank we recommend using
tools with hardened (heat treated) shanks as using unhardened shanks may
cause the tool to bend during operation and cause injury to the operator and/or
the workpiece.

6. Service and maintenance

No regular maintenance is required for this hand-piece. However we recom-
mend replacing the collet if it is damaged.
Worn out ball-bearings should preferably be replaced at DIPROFIL/Diamant-
produkter AB or at one of our authorized service centres.
