3. Safety instructions

3.1 Machine and tool hazards

CAUTION
Starting the hand-piece while changing the tool may cause personal injury.
CAUTION
An incorrectly inserted tool may result in the tool slipping out during operation
and cause personal injury. Make sure that the inserted tool has a shank diameter
adapted to the collet and that the tool is securely fastened in the same. Avoid
using heavier and larger diameter tools than necessary.
The use of tools with hardened (heat treated) shanks is recommended as using
unhardened shanks may cause the tool to bend during operation and cause
injury to the operator and/or the workpiece.
CAUTION
Unintentional start of the hand-piece may cause injury.

3.2 Projectile hazard

CAUTION
During operation, particles from the work piece or the tools themselves can
become projectiles and cause injuries to eyes or skin. Use eye protection and
other approved and appropriate personal protective equipment.

3.3 Noise hazard

CAUTION
Use ear protection to avoid hearing impairment.
