Removal of old paint by sanding, scraping or other means may generate dust
or fumes that contain lead. Exposure to lead dust or fumes may cause brain damage or other
adverse health effects, especially in children or pregnant women. Controlling exposure to
lead or other hazardous substances requires the use of proper protective equipment, such as
a properly fitted respirator (NIOSH approved) and proper containment and cleanup. For more
information, call the National Lead Information Center at 1-800-424-LEAD (in US) or contact your
local health authority.
Read the booklet, "Protect Your Family From Lead In Your Home", included with this product,
or obtain a copy from the U.S. Environment Protection Agency or the U.S. Consumer Product
Safety Commission.
Many paints contain toxic or harmful substances. Read the enclosed User's Manual for further

• Grounded tools must be plugged into an outlet properly installed and grounded
in accordance with all codes and ordinances. never remove the grounding prong
or modify the plug in any way. do not use any adaptor plugs. Check with qualified
electrician if you are in doubt as to whether the outlet is properly grounded. If the
tools should electrically malfunction or break down, grounding provides a low resistance
path to carry electricity away from the user.
• avoid body contact with grounded surfaces such as pipes, radiators, ranges and
refrigerators. There is an increased risk of electric shock if your body is grounded.
