Steam iron Use instructions
Setting the temperature
Always check the label with the ironing instructions on the article to be ironed and follow them.
Turn the thermostat knob to set the desired temperature, following the legend below.
Symbol
Fabric
Do not iron
Synthetics, nylon, acrylic, and polyester cloths
Wool, Silk
Cotton and linen cloths
The number of dots in the thermostat indicates the temperature from the lowest (•) to the highest (•••). The table
is valid for fabrics and not for finishes such as shiny or relief of the fold which must be ironed backwards.
Before using the iron, always make sure that the temperature of the iron is correct with the type of fabric: wool
with wool, cotton with cotton, etc.
The iron is quick to heat up and slow to cool down; so start ironing clothes that require low temperatures (such
as synthetic fabrics) and go in progression with higher and higher temperatures.
When the item to be ironed is made up of several fabrics, adjust the temperature for the most delicate fabric.
If you do not know the type of fabric to be ironed, it is recommended to iron a part of it, normally not visible when
the garment is worn, starting from the minimum temperature, and then finding the most suitable temperature. It
can happen that the garment becomes shining, in this case you need to finish ironing so as not to ruin it and iron
the fabric from the reverse side.
Water spray
After checking that there is water in the tank, turn the spray nozzle towards the item to be ironed. Then press
the water spray button.
When using the iron for the first time, it is advisable to press the water spray button a few times before obtaining
a suitable spray, since the water must be able to fill the circulation pipes before it comes out.
Attention: don't use the water spray with silk.
Steam shot
The steam shot is used to remove the most stubborn creases.
Set the thermostat knob to the position (•) or (•••).
Set the steam setting button to the maximum position.
Press the steam shot button.
Note: to avoid water leaking from the plate, do not hold the steam shot button for more than 5 seconds.
Fill in and empty the tank
This operation must always be done with the plug disconnected from the socket.
Always dry the body of the iron from any drops and your hands before reconnecting the plug to the socket.
Make sure that the thermostat and the steam control are the minimum position.
Lift the tank lid and slowly fill the tank using a small glass or funnel.
Do not exceed the maximum level of the tank indicated on the tank itself.
Be careful not to let water penetrate the cracks in the iron, there is a risk of short circuits and/or electric shock.
At the end of the filling, close the tank lid and connect the plug to the electric socket.
Note: The iron is designed to use tap water, however, if the water is very hard, it is advisable to use a
mixture of distilled water and tap water.
It is suggested to empty the water tank after each use, in order to avoid the formation of limescale, mold and bad
smells. It is recommended to let the iron cool down for a few minutes before emptying the tank.
