Replacing the Battery

1) Turn the pipettor so that the Omega Plus logo is facing away from you.
2) Remove the pipettor nose piece by turning counter clockwise.
3) Using a small Phillips screwdriver remove the two screws holding the battery
compartment shell in place and remove shell.
4) Note position of white manifold connected to rubber tube and gently move to side.
5) Gently pull the battery pack out of the pipettor until you can access the cable
connection mounted on the side of PCB board.
6) Carefully remove the battery clip from the PCB board. Be sure to dispose of the
battery properly in accordance with local disposal regulations.
7) Take the replacement battery and line up front of connector, carefully reconnect
the cable connection to the PCB board. DO NOT FORCE; the connector only
works one way. There should be a slight "click" when the cable connection is inserted
properly. Note: If PCB board becomes loose while replacing battery, re-insert in
channel provided.
8) Insert new battery pack into pipettor with wires facing away from nose piece and
positioned between battery pack and PCB board. Battery will sit between battery
channels in pipettor housing.
9) Place white manifold with rubber hose back into original position with hose being
placed between battery back and PCB board.
10) Reattach battery compartment shell and secure with two Phillips screws.
11) Reattach nose piece
12) Charge battery for 2-hours before use.
Maintenance, Care and Safety Precautions
Before cleaning disconnect Pipettor from the power supply. Never clean the power
supply or immerse the Pipettor in water.
Safety Precautions
- Never use with highly flammable or corrosive liquids
- Ensure the current of your electrical source matches the voltage of the charger unit.
Only use the adapter supplied with the unit.
- When changing the filter, wear protective gloves to prevent accidental contamination.
Do not open the Pipettor housing as it will void warranty.
