This code should be used if the condition of an ill or injured
assistance
person on board the vessel requires urgent evacuation ashore, or
the services of a doctor on board the vessel. This code will
ensure that the call is routed to the appropriate agency/authority
ashore to deal with the situation.
Maritime
This code should be used to obtain assistance if the vessel
assistance
requires assistance for a situation such as a tow, oil pollution or
other assistance, etc.

Meteorologic
This code should be used by weather observing vessels to send
al reports
in their weather observations. In most cases use of this code is
free of charge, the national authorities paying the relevant
charges.
Navigational
This code should be used to report on hazards that may affect
hazards and
the safety of navigation such as wrecks, floating objects, buoys
warnings
and light-vessel out of action, etc.
Ship position
This code provides a connection to an appropriate national or
reports
international centre which is collecting information on ship
movements for search and rescue or other purposes, e.g.
AMVER, AUSREP, etc.
