SAfety InStRuCtIonS - General
• P lease read these instructions carefully and retain them for future
reference.
• Use this appliance solely in accordance with these instructions.
• T his appliance can be used by children older than 8 years and
persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or
lack of experience and knowledge, but only if they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe
way and understand the hazards involved.
• C hildren should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the
appliance.
• C leaning and maintenance must not be done by children, except if
they are older than 8 years and supervised.
• K eep the appliance and the cable out of reach of children under 8
years.
• H ave any repairs carried out solely by a qualified electrician. Never try
to repair the appliance yourself.
SAfety InStRuCtIonS - electricity and heat
• V erify that the mains voltage is the same as that indicated on the type
plate on the appliance before use.
• A lways remove the plug from the socket when the appliance is not in
use.
• A lways remove the plug from the wall socket by pulling on the plug,
not the power cord.
• C heck the appliance's power cord regularly to make sure it is not
damaged. Do not use the appliance if the power cord is damaged. If
the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer,
the after-sales service or a person with a similar qualification, in order
to avoid any hazards.
• W hen using an extension lead always make sure that the entire cable
is unwound from the reel.
• Use solely approved extension leads.
• Avoid stumbling over the extension lead or power cord.
• M ake sure that the appliance and the power cord do not come in
contact with sources of heat, such as a hot hob or naked flame.
• M ake sure that the switch, the power cord and plug do not come in
contact with water.
