Tightly closed containers could explode in the oven. Closed containers should be opened, and
plastic pouches should be pierced before cooking in the oven. Failure to heed this warning may
result in personal injury or property damage.
See the instructions below on "Materials You Can Use in Microwave Oven" or
"Materials To Be Avoided In Microwave Oven." There may be certain containers
and non-metallic utensils that are not safe to use for microwaving. If in doubt,
you can test these using the following procedure:

Is it Microwave Safe?

Container Test:
(1) Fill a microwave-safe container with 1 cup of cold water (250ml).
(2) Cook on maximum power for 1 minute to warm the water contents.
(3) Carefully feel the container. If the outside of the container is warm, do not use it
for microwave cooking.
(4) Do not exceed 1-minute cooking time.
Utensil Test:
(1) Fill a microwave-safe container with 1 cup of cold water (250ml).
(2) Lay the utensil in question beside the container but not touching it.
(3) Cook on maximum power for 1 minute to warm the water contents.
(4) Carefully feel the utensil. If the utensil is hot, do not use it for microwave cooking
(5) Do not exceed 1-minute cooking time.
