3. Water Temperature Adjustment
CAUTION: Risk of personal injury. The water temperature
should never be set above 120° F (49° C).
Remove the handle and faceplate from the valve, if installed.
Turn the valve stem clockwise to the full open position and let
the hot water run for several minutes. Position a thermometer in
the water stream and check the temperature.
To adjust the maximum temperature, slide the stem O-ring out of
the groove and part way up the valve stem.
Move the upper limit stop ring part way up the valve stem.
Alternate between rotating the valve stem clockwise and checking
the water temperature with the thermometer until the desired
maximum water temperature is reached.
Rotate the lower limit stop ring until it contacts the tab.
Slide the upper limit stop ring down the valve stem until it
engages the lower limit stop ring.
Slide the O-ring into the valve stem groove.
Rotate the valve stem counterclockwise to shut the water off.
Reinstall the handle and faceplate, if removed.
