Setting up the charging station
Filling the vacuum pump with oil
•
Please note the specifications of the vacuum pump!
Please note! The oil must be changed after every 20 hours of operation.
Adjusting the gauges
•
Before use, all gauges must be set to 0 using the adjusting screws.
2.
Evacuating
•
Use the manifold hose connections and hoses to connect the charging station to the
cooling device.
Blue valve (b) blue filling hose to manifold connection (f) for R600a use
Red valve (c) red filling hose to manifold connection (g)
•
Switch on vacuum pump, open yellow manifold valve (a) and blue valve (b) for
R600a or yellow manifold valve (a) and red manifold valve (c) for R134a.
•
Open (h) valve on vacuum gauge (4).
•
When the ultimate vacuum is achieved, close valve (a) and switch off the vacuum
pump. If the vacuum gauge (4) remains at zero or only shifts by 2-3 graduation
marks, the system is sealed under vacuum.
•
If the indicator on the vacuum gauge (4) moves backwards, towards 1000 mbar
(atmospheric pressure) there is a leak in the system. Re-check that all fittings are
tight.
Close all valves after each work step.
3.
Filling with gas
•
Put the refrigerant bottle on the scale and connect the container valve to the ball
valve (6) using the ¼" yellow charging hose (yellow charging line is included but not
pictured).
•
Set weighing scale to 0 by pressing the Tare/Zero button.
•
Open the valve on the refrigerant container.
•
Purge the charging line of ambient air.
•
When filling via the intake (suction) side: open ball valve (6), valves (e) and (b) for
R600a or Open ball valve (6), red valve (c) and refrigerant valve (e) for R134a.
•
Once the desired filling quantity is achieved, close all valves and run the cooling
device.
4.
Filling with fluid Isobutane R600a
•
Fully retract the needle valve on the bottom of support device (7) turn counter-
clockwise
•
Screw the refrigerant bottle fully in to the stand (7) at (d).
•
Connect small black R600a charging line (j).
•
Screw needle valve clockwise to depress gas bottle valve.
•
Open ball valve (6) and black valve (e).
•
Connect blue hose to the connector (f) for R600a and connect it to the intake
(suction) side of the system to be filled.
•
Set charging scale to 0 by pressing Tare/Zero.
•
Slowly open blue valve (b).
•
Once the desired filling quantity is achieved, close all valves.
