4. Install the Shower Receptor
Attach the Receptor to the Studs
NOTE: The receptor can be secured with the attachment clips provided, with large-head roofing nails, or
with non-tapered flathead screws.
Check the recommended attachment locations to verify that the studs are within 1/8" (3 mm) of the
receptor. If not, add shims.
Attach the Receptor with Roofing Nails or Non-Tapered Flathead Screws
CAUTION: Risk of product or property damage. When installing the large-head roofing nail or
non-tapered flathead screw above the flange, do not nail or drill through the flange, as this will
damage the product. Creating holes in the flange could also cause leaks, mold, or mildew.
Install large-head roofing nails or non-tapered flathead screws over the top of the flange. This will
pin the receptor flange to the studs, as shown.
Install the fasteners at all stud locations.
Verify that the fastener heads do not interfere with the installation of the wall surrounds or other
finished walls.
