• Insert the electrical feed cable (not supplied) through the back packing gland of the filtration box. It is recommended to use H07-RNF
cable with three cores and 1.5 mm2 section. Pass the cable around the edge of the equipment to the control pannel. Open the control
pannel, pass the cable through the packing gland marked 230 V and secure the three terminals to the strips identified with the labels N, L
and Ground, as indicated in (Fig.15) (Pag. 52).
CAUTION
Check that the Ground connection of the installation is correct.
The electrical supply of the equipment should be protected by a 30 mA RCB.
3.5. SECURING THE FAIRINGS AND BOX LID
• The cover of the filtering box is secured to the base of the box by means of two DIN 7985 M8x20 screws supplied (Fig. 16) (Pag. 52).
Note: If the filtration box has been joined directly to the front module (Fig. 8A) (Pag. 51), it will not be necessary to secure the side
fairings as the cover of the box closes both equipment
• If you have chosen to install the filtration box at a distance from the front module, the sides of both equipment will have to be closed
using the supplied fairings. The fairing of the front module is secured to the ground by the two DIN 96 M6x40 screws supplied (Fig. 17A)
(Pag. 53). The fairing of the filtration box cover is secured by the two DIN 7982 3,9x16 screws supplied (Fig. 17B) (Pag. 53).
4. START-UP
To start-up the filtering equipment, follow these steps
• Ensure that there is sufficient water in the swimming pool to cover half the hinged cover of the skimmer (fig. 6) (Pag. 50). The pump
should never be allowed to operate without water, otherwise the mechanical seal could be damaged causing water to leak.
• Check that all connections of the installation are correct and well secured.
• Before starting-up the equipment for the first time, the pump should be started. To do this, remove the cover from the pump pre-filter with
the key supplied, and fill the pre-filter with water (Fig. 18) (Pag. 53). Close the pre-filter cover.
• Check that both the covers of the filters and of the pump pre-filter are properly closed.
• Place the CLOSED tabs of valves A and B in PORT 2 and PORT 2 positions respectively (filtering position) (Fig. 19) (Pag. 53).
CAUTION: The position of the valves is indicated by the handle tab marked with CLOSED. The position of this tab should be
directed with the PORT indicated in each case (Fig. 19) (Pag. 53).
• Set the timer to position I (Fig. 20) (Pag. 53). Set the protection switch of the control pannel pump to the ON position (Fig. 21) (Pag. 53).
• To stop the equipment, place the pump switch in the OFF position (Fig. 21) (Pag. 53).
4.1. PROGRAMMING THE TIMER - PROGRAMMER
The contro pannel has a timer - programmer to automate filtering times, start-up and shutdown of the equipment. For programming, follow
these steps:
Make sure the pump switch is in the OFF position (Fig. 21) (Pag. 53).
• To set the time: Remove the transparent cover from the timer. Turn the inside dial of the timer in a clockwise direction until the current
time is lined up with the arrow (triangle) (Fig. 22) (Pag. 54).
• To set the operation time: The timer has 48 tabs, each of which is equivalent to half an hour. The tabs can be raised (off) or pressed
(on). Set the operation time by pressing the required tabs (Fig. 23) (Pag. 54). It is recommended to set a daily filtering time of 8 hours
(16 tabs).
• To start-up automatic operation: The timer - programmer has a two positon ( I or II ) switch. Position I starts-up the manual
operation of the pump. On the other hand, position II lets the timer tabs control the on or off function of the pump (Fig. 20) (Pag. 53).
NOTE: do not force the timer switch when trying to place it in position II , as if the activated timer tab is pressed, the trigger will move to
position I .
• Place the transparent cover on the timer.
5. OPERATION
The compact filtration system performs four functions: filter pool water, Provides a connection for a pool cleaner, empties the pool, provides
swimming pool lighting.
5.1. OPERATION: WATER FILTERING
The skimmer is the filtering element, which collects water from the surface. The water passes through the skimmer basket. The larger
particles remain trapped in the basket, the impurities which cannot be retained pass through to the cartridge filter, where they are filtered.
For the water filtering operation, follow these steps:
• Place the pump switch in the OFF position (Fig. 21) (Pag. 53).
• Place the CLOSED tabs of valves A and B in positions PORT 2 and PORT 2 respectively (filtering position). Remember that the position
is indicated by the CLOSED tab (Fig.19) (Pag. 53).
• To programme an automatic timed filtering operation, set the programmer as described in section 4.2 (Programming the timer -
programmer) of this manual. If you wish to start-up a manual filtering operation, place the timer switch in position I (Fig. 20) (Pag. 53)
and turn on the pump by placing it`s in the ON position (Fig. 21) (Pag. 53).
• To stop the filtering operation, place the pump switch in the OFF position (Fig. 21) (Pag. 53). If you wish to leave the pump in the
automatic timed filtering position, leave the pump switch in the ON position (Fig. 21) (Pag. 53) and the timer switch in position II without
forcing it (Fig. 20) (Pag. 53).
5.2. OPERATION: CONNECTION OF POOL CLEANER
Dirt deposited on the bottom of the pool can be vacuumed by connecting to a pool cleaner.
To connect to a pool cleaner, follow these steps:
