3. INSTALLATION AND ASSEMBLY
To install, follow the steps below:
3.1. INSTALLATION OF THE COMBO FRONT MODULE
• Place the Combo in the most suitable position bearing in mind the direction of prevailing wind. The front module of the Combo should be
located in an area where dirt accumulates (leaves and other floating particles), meaning that it should be placed centrally on the wall which
is against the direction of the prevailing wind (Fig. 5) (Pag. 50).
• Having decided on the most suitable position for the front module, the wall should then be prepared for installation. In a new pool, plan to
leave the crown as specified below. In an existing pool, part of the crown will have to be removed to leave it in the following condition.
Part of the pool wall should be left free from the crown (82 cm), so that the front module and its fairing can be incorporated. The water
level of the pool should cover half the hinged gate of the skimmer (it is recommended to leave a distance of 15 cm between the water level
and the base where the front module rests) (Fig. 6) (Pag. 50). The surface on which the equipment rests should be completely horizontal
and flat so that the equipment is exactly aligned to the wall.
• Place the front module of the Combo in the cavity of the crown so that it rests on the pool wall and is vertically aligned to the wall. Mark
the upper part of the wall where the drill holes should be made to secure the equipment (Fig. 7) (Pag. 51).
Note: The front module should rest on the rubber pads.
Remove the front module from the wall and make 2 drill holes for the plugs supplied. Clean the surface, place the pads, the rubber
damper cushions supplied, and reassemble the front equipment in its final position. Secure using screws DIN 571 M8x50 and their
corresponding supplied washers (Fig. 7) (Pag. 51).
3.2. INSTALLATION OF THE FILTRATION BOX
IMPORTANT
The installation of the compact filtration equipment must follow and meet different regulations in force (UNE20-460-93).
• The filtration box can be joined directly to the front module (Fig. 8-A) (Pag. 51) or aligned at a certain distance (Fig. 8-B) (Pag. 51). If you
choose to join both module, they should be placed in such a way that the swing cover of the filtration box falls on to the front module and
closes it. In order to install the equipment togethr, the wall of the swimming pool should not be more than 22 cm thick. For greater
thicknesses, the equipment will have to be installed separated with their corresponding seal fairings.
Mark on the ground the area where the filtration box is to be placed. Normally, it is aligned with the front module. For longer distances,
terminal boxes should be used for the light cable (Fig. 8) (Pag. 51).
For easy connection of the drain and other conduits, a hole should be dug alloging 25 cm. around the whole of the filtration box, in order to
connect the drains and filling.
• Dig the holeto a depth of 44 cm. Channel should also be made for the supply of running water, drains and electrical power up to the
filtration box.
If the filttration box is not joined directed to the front module, a 46 cm wide channel will have to be made with a depth of 20 cm from the
front module to the hole of the filtration box. This channel will be used to bury the connections between both modules.
• Before installing the box, the lower drain must be installed inside the hole at the base of the box, having first removed the red plug (Fig. 9)
(Pag. 51). It is essential to install this drain, otherwise the box may fill with water and earth entering the hole would jeopardise the
equipment..
IMPORTANT
• For transport purposes, the pump drain of the filtration box is disconnected. It must be connected by the union before it is
connected outside (Fig. 10) (Pag. 51).
• Level the base of the pit and wedge the box so that it does not rest on the lower drain. Place the box on the bottom ensuring that it is level
with the land (Fig. 11) (Pag. 52).
VERY IMPORTANT
• Connect the drain of the pump and gravity drain separately. These drains cannot be joined together; otherwise it will flood the box.
Use Ø50 for the pump drain and Ø32 for the gravity drain (Fig. 12) (Pag. 52).
3.3. CONNECTING THE FRONT MODULE TO THE FILTRATION BOX
• If the modules are joined, connect the outlets and inlets of the front modules and the filtration box using pieces of Ø50 pipes supplied.
If the filtration box is installed at a certain distance from the front module, the outlets and inlets will have to be connected using pipes
and elbows of Ø50 (not supplied).
• The inlets and outlets of both bodies will be facing and aligned. In order to identify these inlets and outlets, they are marked A, B, C and D.
4 raccord unions are supplied for easy installation.
If it has been chosen to place the filtration box a distance from the front module it is recommended to bury the pipes at a depth of 20 cm
for their protection (Fig. 8-B). Pipes should rest on a bed of compact sand.
• Fill the cavities around the box and the channel with sand, compacting the sand level with thrl ground.
3.4. CONNECTING ELECTRICAL ELEMENTS
• Insert the cable from the front module (light cable) through the front packing gland of the filtration box and connect it to the control panel
strip marked 12 V used for this purpose (Fig. 13) (Pag. 52).
VERY IMPORTANT
When connecting the electricity supply, make sure that the light is not on without being submerged in water. If this does
occur, turn it off immediately by means of the pneumatic pushbutton (Fig. 25) (Pag. 54).
