5. Fan Assembly.
Locate clamp holder in one of the hardware
packs. Lift canopy, canopy cover and yoke
cover. Place clamp holder on downrod below
yoke cover. Remove 6 screws/washers from
yoke plate (located on top of motor housing)
and set aside. Note: Notice the bigger screw
that secures the safety cable does not have a
washer. [Refer to diagram 1.]
Remove clamp holder, raise yoke plate and
motor housing. Place clamp holder on
downrod underside of motor housing. This will
allow you to work on blade installation. [Refer
to diagram 2.]
Locate 6 blade attachment screws/washers in
hardware pack. Slide one blade with the
pointed side underneath the bottom of motor,
aligning holes in blade with holes on the edge
of the motor. Place one blade plate on top of
blade, aligning holes in blade plate with holes
on blade. Insert 2 blade attachment
screws/washers with fingers first and then
tighten screws securely with a Phillips
screwdriver. Repeat procedure for each
remaining blade. [Refer to diagram 3.]
WARNING: To reduce the risk of serious bodily
injury,
DO NOT use power tools to assemble
the blades. If overtightened, blades may crack
and break.
Take off the clamp holder from downrod.
Re-attach motor housing and yoke plate to
yoke, using screws/washers previously
removed. Be sure that semicircular cutout on
motor housing and yoke plate aligns over safety
cable loop for a proper fit; let safety cable loop
rests on top of yoke plate and re-insert the
appropriate screw. Tighten all 6 screws securely
with a Phillips screwdriver. [Refer to diagram 4.]
WARNING: Failure to replace the safety cable
correctly and tighten the screw could result in
personal injury or death.
