SERVICE
Tool service must be performed only by quali-
fied repair personnel. Service or maintenance
performed by unqualified personnel could re-
sult in a risk of injury.
SPECIFIC SAFETY RULES FOR
JOINTERS
WARNING: Do not operate the jointer until
it is completely assembled and installed accord-
ing to the instructions.
· NEVER perform jointing or planing opera-
tions with the cutterhead guard removed.
· NEVER start the jointer with the workpiece
contacting the cutterhead.
· NEVER perform any operation "free-hand"
which means using your hands to support or
guide the workpiece. ALWAYS use the fence to
position and guide the work.
· AVOID awkward operations and hand posi-
tions where a sudden slip could cause your
hand to move into the cutterhead.
· ALWAYS use a hold-down/push blocks for
jointing material less than
3 inches in height or planing material thinner
than 3 inches.
· DO NOT perform planing operations on mate-
rial shorter than 10 inches, narrower than 3/4",
wider than 12 inches or less than 1/2" thick.
· NEVER make jointing or planing cuts, deeper
than 1/8 inch. On cuts more than 1-1/2 inches
wide, adjust depth of cut to 1/16 inch or less
to avoid overloading machine and to minimize
chance of kick-back (work thrown back toward
you).

THE
JOINTER
1. Your Jointer stand
Fig. 1, is shipped with
the motor and switch
completely
wired,
the motor is already
mounted aswell.
ASSEMBLY OF THE JOINTER TO THE BASE
1. The exit end of the quarry is located next to
the pedestal supporting the dust hopper (Fig.
2-B).
2. Remove the three
screws (Fig. 2-C) and
loosen
the
three
screws (D). Remove
the rear panel (E)
from the base, lifting
it up.
3. Align the three
holes (F) and (L) Fig. 3
at the top of the ped-
estal with the three
holes located at the
bottom of the shell
base and only with
