Use your power pack safely
• Do not use the portable power pack if any cable clamp or cord is damaged.
• Do not short circuit the unit. Don't touch the clamps to any conductive
material.
• Always wrap the cables back into position and store the clamps properly.
• If your Rescue Portable Power Pack requires service, follow the directions
in the warranty section. Do not attempt to repair the unit or replace parts.
Unauthorized repairs will void your warranty.
• Check vehicle battery terminals before using the power pack; clean them if
necessary.
• After approximately 10 seconds of continuous cranking, if the disabled
vehicle fails to start, stop and wait for 1 minute. This prevents damage to
your power pack and to your vehicle's system from overheating.
• No lubrication is recommended or required.
• Avoid storing in direct sunlight, in extreme heat or cold, or very moist areas.
Air compressor Models 950, 1060
The built-in air compressor is operated from the back of the Rescue unit. The
air hose is equipped with a clamp-on Schrader valve connector to fill tires.
Additional adaptors are included to fill air mattresses, balls, etc. The switch
turns the compressor on and off and a pressure gauge is provided.
Power inverter Model 1060
A 300W power inverter is provided on the back of the unit with two AC out-
lets. The outlets are switched. The inverter is a modified sine wave inverter,
which means it will work well for power tools, lighting, and most small ap-
pliances. Electronics that modulate RF signals, speed controllers found in
some fans and tools, rechargers for batteries and metal halide arc lights may
be damaged by modified sine wave inverters. If you have critical electronics
like computers, televisions, etc. verify the power requirements before using
the Rescue
1060.
