These operating instructions
convey important safety tips and infor-
mation necessary to operate the device
correctly! In order to prevent damage
due to improper use, the operating in-
structions should be observed and kept
safe as well as passed on to any subse-
quent owners!
All safety instructions are for your per-
sonal safety!
• Ensure that the voltage specification
(V) on the type plate of the device
matches the mains voltage!
• Do not pull the power cable over sharp
edges, trap it or allow it to hang down.
The power cable should be protected
from heat and moisture.
This symbol means:
• WARNING: Do not use this ap-
pliance near bathtubs, showers,
basins or other vessels contain-
ing water.
• When the device is used in a
bathroom, unplug it after use
since the proximity of water
presents a hazard even when
the device is switched off.
• As additional protection, the installa-
tion of a residual current device (RCD)
with a measured residual current of no
more than 30mA is recommended in
the bathroom power circuit. Please get
your electrical engineer to advise you!
• Always switch the device off after use!
• Only insert the plug into the socket
when the device is switched off!
• Never wrap the power cord around the
device!
• Do not pull the plug out of the socket
by pulling on the cable or when your
hands are wet!
• Always turn off the device and remove
the plug before doing any cleaning or
maintenance.
• Always remove the plug when you
clean the device, in the event of faults,
or when the device is not in use!
• Animal clipper, hair clipper, and appli-
ances for manicure and pedicure can be
used by children ages 3 and up under
supervision.
• Shaver, wet shaver, animal clipper, hair
clipper, and appliances for manicure
and pedicure can be used by children
ages 8 and up and by persons with
reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities or lack of experience and
knowledge if they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning
use of the appliance in a safe way and
understand the hazards involved. Chil-
