MSI Notebook Warranty and Global Travel Insurance Policy
Micro-Star Int'l Co., Ltd. (hereinafter called "MSI" or "We") warrants that, subject to the terms and conditions set
forth herein, our MSI brand product (hereafter referred to as the "Product") has no manufacturing or material defect
and conforms to applicable specifications at the time of sale. MSI will provide Product repair and replacement
services according to the conditions stated in this policy.
Chapter 1: Limited Warranty (provisions in this Chapter also apply to the global travel insurance)
1.1 Limited Warranty Period:
Warranty Eligibility and Warranty Period: You must provide proof of purchase by presenting a valid receipt or
purchase invoice, along with a corresponding warranty certificate or documentation to be eligible for warranty
related services. If such documentation does not include or clearly show the purchase date, the warranty start
date will be the Product's manufacturer shipping date determined by the Product's serial number. If the last day
of the warranty period is a national holiday, the following day shall be the last day of the warranty period.
The service center does not provide the service of re-installing any updated device driver, operating system or
any other non factory installed software.
The service center does not provide data backup services for data stored in the Product to be repaired. To
prevent any data loss, please make sure you have backed up important data before sending the Product in for
repair.
The service center does not accept Product part(s) sent in separately for repair by the customer.
1.2 Hardware Limited Warranty
Limited warranty: MSI provides limited warranty service for Product(s), Product accessories, and peripherals
under normal conditions of use. The limited warranty period may vary based on terms and conditions of sale.
Based on this policy, MSI will replace or repair defective Product free of charge only after determining that
Product meets warranty eligibility requirements. Upon receipt of eligible, returned Products, a MSI authorized
service center will inform you of the nature of the problem and the estimated cost and repair timeframe. You
will be further notified once repairs are completed.
If your Product becomes defective within the limited warranty period, and the defect is not attributable to
factors listed in Section 1.4 below, you are advised to return the Product, along with all original packaging,
accessories, purchase receipt, and warranty card either to the store where the Product was purchased, or a
designated service center to apply for a warranty service.
One (1) year limited warranty: Products are covered by MSI's one-year limited warranty service. All defects
incurred within this warranty period will be serviced free of charge. For example, without limiting any other
conditions in this policy, Product hardware covered under this limited warranty includes: motherboard, LCD
panel, hard drive, CPU, memory module, optical drive, and network equipment.
Out of warranty: All defects occurring beyond the limited warranty period will be considered out of warranty.
Users will be responsible for two ways (collect and return) shipping, labor, and parts cost for out of warranty
