USER INSTRUCTIONS
INTRODUCTION
Classic smart easy 1 is a learning universal remote control. It is able to learn and store infrared commands from an original remote control.
19 big buttons are labeled with the most common everyday functions of TV-Sets and Digital-Receivers.
smart easy 1 ist ideal für nursing homes, hotels, hospitals but also for private homes for elderly people and children. It can also be used for
other devices provided they use infrared signals.
Functions of an already programmed smart easy 1 can be transfered to another smart easy 1 . (Clone-Function)

INSERTING BATTERIES

Your new smart easy 1 remote control requires 2 Alkaline Batteries (LR03/AAA). Please use only batteries of same type.
The correct polarity is shown inside the battery compartment.

LOW BATTERY WARNING

If the batteries in smart easy 1 get weak, the red LED is blinking several times after pressing any button. You should now replace the
batteries. Please dispose of used batteries according to local laws.
BASICS
Your new smart easy 1 remote control is supplied non-programmed.
Prior to the first use smart easy 1 has to learn the desired functions (commands) of your original remote control. Your original remote control
you still work properly.
Learned commands don´t get lost when batteries get weak or taken out for replacement.
smart easy 1 stores all settings in a non-volatile memory.
A) LEARN-MODE
1. Place smart easy 1 and Original Remote control head to head (distance approx. ca. 3cm)

2. Press + simultaneously for min. 3 seconds until the red LED is permanently on.
smart easy 1 is now in the programming-mode.
3. Now press button on smart easy 1 you want to program (target button) . The LED blinks 1x and lights on permanently.
smart easy 1 is now in the receiving-mode.
4. Press the button on the original remote control you want to learn (source button) for approx. 3 seconds. The LED blinks 1x and remains on.
Command is learned. To learn further functions repeat 3. and 4.
Error message: LED blinks 5x and remains on. Learning failed. Please repeat 4.
5. Press + simultaneously for min. 3 seconds. LED blinks 3x. smart easy 1 stores all learned functions and can be used now. Note: If in
learn-mode no button is pressed within 30 seconds smart easy 1 returns to normal mode without any changes.
B) ERASING ALL BUTTONS
1. Press + simultaneously for min. 3 seconds. Red LED lights on permanently.
2. Press + simultaneously for min. 3 seconds. LED blinks 2x. All Buttons are erased now.
3. Press + simultaneously for min. 3 seconds. LED blinks 3x. smart easy 1 returns to normal mode.
C) Erasing SINGLE BUTTON
1. Press + simultaneously for min. 3 seconds. Red LED lights on permanently.
2. Press the button you want to erase for min. 3 seconds. LED blinks 2x. Button is erased now.
3. Press + simultaneously for min. 3 seconds. LED blinks 3x. smart easy 1 returns to normal mode.
D) CLONE MODE
1. Place the programmed smart easy 1 (transmitter) and the empty smart easy 1 (receiver) head to head (distance approx. ca. 3cm).

2. Press + on the transmitter simultaneously for min. 3 seconds. Red LED lights on permanently.
3. Press + on the receiver simultaneously for min. 3 seconds. LED blinks 1x und remains permanently on.
4. Press + on the receiver simultaneously for min. 3 seconds.. LED blinks 1x und remains permanently on.
5. Press + on the transmitter simultaneously for approx. 1 second.
LEDs on transmitter and receiver blink in the rythm of data transfer until the cloning is finished.
This procedure can last for up to 30 seconds. Please don´t move transmitter and receiver as long as the data transfer is running. To finalize
clone mode:
6. Press + on the receiver simultaneously for min. 3 seconds. LED blinks 3x. smart easy 1 stores all cloned functions and can be used
now.
7. Press + on the transmitter simultaneously for min. 3 seconds. LED blinks 3x. smart easy 1 returns to normal mode.
