ENTERING YOUR SECURITY CODE
To enter own security code, follow the steps listed below:
1. After opening the electronic safe (with the preset
factory code of 1-5-9-#), locate the small red button
on the inside of the door (near the hinge).
2. Press the red button and release it; user will hear a
beep. The yellow light on the faceplate will activate
and stay on for a period of time that should allow
user to enter code. Code can only be entered while
yellow light is on.
3. With the door open and the yellow light on, enter
personal security code, which can be three to eight
digits long, and confirm new code by pressing the
" " symbol on the electronic touch pad. Before
closing the door, try the new security code to ensure
the lock releases the handle so it can turn and
retract the live-action bolts.
NOTE: DO NOT SHUT THE DOOR UNTIL
CONFIRMING THE NEW SECURITY CODE
HAS BEEN ENTERED CORRECTLY.
4. If the code fails, go through steps 1-3 again. If the
code works successfully, record combination in a
secure place, away from children, not inside the
safe. Close and lock the safe.
5. When opening the safe in the future, enter the
security code user has set followed by the "#"
symbol.
6. If the incorrect security code is entered three times,
an automatic lockout will take place for 20 seconds
before user can enter code again.
7.
If the incorrect security code is entered three
additional times, there will be a five-minute lockout
before the code can be tried again.
LOCKING THE SAFE
To lock the safe, close the door and rotate the handle
counterclockwise until it stops. If the handle is not turned
until it stops, the locking mechanism will not lock.
NOTE: Because the locking mechanism is
deactivated for approximately three to six
seconds after the combination is entered, wait
a minimum of six seconds from the time the
combination is entered to lock the safe.

SELECTING A LOCATION
1. The safe must be mounted to the floor. For optimal
safety and security, the safe should be installed
adjacent to a side wall with minimal space on either
side of the safe and in an isolated, dry and secure
area.
2. The safe should be flat against the wall and floor.
Remove the baseboard if necessary.
SECURING THE SAFE
3. To secure safe to the floor, it will first be necessary
to drill pilot holes through the fire insulation in the
floor of the safe. First, place the safe in the desired
location. Lift the bottom carpeting up to find the
two hole locations marked on the floor insulation.
Drill holes through the insulation using the same
diameter drill as the diameter of the mounting
hardware.
CAUTION! Children should not play with or
around the safe at any time.
CAUTION! The safe must be secured to the
floor. Use the hardware provided or consult
Uline Customer Service at 1-800-295-5510
for fastening hardware for your particular
mounting surfaces.
CAUTION! This safe must be mounted to the
floor. Failure to do so will compromise the
safety and security of the safe.
IMPORTANT! The fasteners you use must
completely fill the hole you drilled into the
insulation. (See Figure 2) You must use the
fasteners after you drill the holes. Failure to do
so will void the fire rating.
