CARE AND CLEANING

Turn off t he dehumidifier and remove t he plug from t he wall out let before cleaning.

Grille and Case

To clean t he case:
Use wat er and a mild det ergent . Do not use
bleach or abrasives.
Wat er Bucket
To clean:
Every few weeks, clean t he bucket t o prevent growt h of
mold, mildew and bact eria. Part ially fill t he bucket wit h clean
wat er and add a lit t le mild det ergent . Swish it around in t he
bucket , empt y and rinse.
NOTE: Do not use a dishwasher t o clean t he wat er bucket .
Air Filt er
The air filt er behind t he rear grille should be checked and
cleaned at least every 250 hours of operat ion or more oft en
if necessary.
Aft er 250 hours of operat ion, t he Filt er indicat or light will
glow t o remind you t o clean t he filt er. Remove t he filt er and
clean it . Replace t he filt er and press and hold t he filt er but t on
for 3 seconds.
To remove:
Remove t he rear grille and t he filt er will be at t ached.
To clean:
Clean t he filt er wit h warm, soapy wat er. Rinse and let t he
filt er dry before replacing it .
NOTE:
St orage
If t he unit is t o be st ored for an ext ended period of t ime, t ake
t he following act ions before put t ing away t he machine.
1. Empt y t he bucket of all wat er.
2. Clean t he wat er bucket per inst ruct ions.
3. Allow wat er bucket t o dry and reinst all.
4. Remove pump hose and st ore wit h unit .
To Release Hose: Press t he blue but t on on t op of t he
connect or at t ached t o t he dehumidifier and pull t he hose out
t o remove.

To clean t he rear grille:
Use a vacuum at t achment or brush.
To remove:
Remove t he bucket and pour out any wat er.
To replace:
Slide t he bucket int o t he dehumidifier.
NOTE: The bucket must be in place and securely seat ed for
t he dehumidifier t o operat e.
CAUTION
DO NOT operat e t he dehumidifier wit hout
a filt er because dirt and lint will clog t he unit and reduce
performance.
