7 Alarms
For some applications it is important that an alarm is triggered
under certain circumstances. The alarm level can be pro-
grammed to meet the user's needs. This means that an alarm
can be set for each individual parameter, with minimum and
maximum values at which the alarm has to be activated.
When the alarm is activated, an AlarmBox will appear, indicating
the name of the parameter and the set minimum and maximum.
In addition, an audio signal is generated which will be repeated
more rapidly as more alarms are triggered.

7.2. Setting the alarmvalues
The alarmlevels must be enabled in the vetus.ini file. Otherwise
the toolbar alarm enable / disable will not function. Individual
settings for the windspeed and winddirection are possible. The
vetus.ini file is located in the directory in which the program was
installed (default C:\Program\Files\Vetus\Weatherstation).
Open the vetus.ini file with a text editor and go to the [inter-
preter] field.
Change only the three values in bold italic typeface. The values
are defined as follows:

In case of the winddirection always think in the CW direction
otherwise the wrong parameters will be set.
Note: Be sure to make a backup copy of the .ini file in case the
