In this way you will avoid the risk of injury or damaging the appliance.
• This appliance is designed to be used in domestic and similar applications, such as:
kitchen areas for the staff of shops, offi ces and other workplaces; in hotels, holiday farms,
motels, B&Bs and other residential-type places.
• Only use the specifi c Caffi taly System capsules.
• Any other use not covered by these instructions can result in injury and will void the
warranty. The Manufacturer declines any liability for damage due to improper use of the
appliance.
• After removing the packaging, make sure the appliance is intact. In case of damage, or at
the fi rst sign of faultiness (unusual noises or odours), or if any problem occurs inside the
appliance, do not use it. Contact an Authorised Service Centre.
• The packaging elements (plastic bags, etc.) are potential sources of danger and must not
be left within the reach of children.
• Only use the appliance if the power cord is intact. To replace the cord, if damaged, contact
an Authorised Service Centre. Danger of death from electric shock.
• Store and use the appliance only in indoors. Make sure the electrical elements, plugs
and cables are dry. Never immerse the appliance. Protect the appliance from splashes or
dripping. Electricity and water together cause potentially fatal electric shocks.
• Connect the appliance only to an approved power socket. Make sure the mains voltage
matches that specifi ed on the data plate on the bottom of the appliance.
• The surface on which the machine is installed must be level, solid, fi rm and heat resistant;
the support surface must not have a slope exceeding 2°.
• Do not allow the appliance to be used by children (even over 8 years old), or people with
impaired mental, physical or sensory faculties or insuffi cient experience and expertise,
unless they are carefully supervised and instructed by a person responsible for their
safety. Children must be kept under supervision to prevent them from playing with the
appliance!
• Do not leave the power cord near hot surfaces and sharp edges or objects.
• Always dispense with the capsule holder fully inserted and never open the lever
when dispensing a product. Danger of scalding.
• Never remove parts of the machine, except those indicated for daily cleaning.
• Do not put hands or any object in the openings. This could result in injury or electric
shock! Any intervention not covered by these instructions must only be carried out by an
Authorised Service Centre!
• To unplug the appliance, grip the plug without pulling on the cord.
• Proceed with descaling at regular intervals, according to the instructions. Otherwise the
appliance could become damaged.
• Clean the appliance regularly and thoroughly. The deposit created in case of lack of
cleaning could be harmful to health. Unplug the appliance and let it cool before cleaning.
• Unplug the appliance if it is not going to be used for long periods (holidays, etc.).
