SAFETY NOTES
• Always stay aware. During work, observe your workplace and carry out work with utmost care.
• Do not use the lifting equipment for climbing, hanging or swinging.
• Before each work procedure, convince yourself of the safe suspension of the chain pulley.
• The maximum load capacity bearing must never be exceeded!
• Never walk under the suspended load!
• The chain pulley may no longer be used in event of obvious damage!
• Do not use if the chain links are twisted or knotted.
• Never use to lift persons!
• Do not allow loads lifted to rock or swing.
• Centre the load before lifting.
• The lifting equipment serves to lift loads, this lifting equipment is not intended to pull loads.
• Use this lifting equipment only for the intended purpose.
• Failure to observe these notes may result in personal injury and / or property damage
OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY
Always wear suitable protective equipment when using lifting equipment.
When using this chain pulley, always wear:
Anti-slip safety shoes
Protective gloves
Safety Helmets
HANGING LOCATION
Hang the chain pulley only on fixtures and accessories that are suitable for the chain
pulley, e.g. use only eyelets that are welded at the butted edges in order to prevent
bending.
Observe that the location where you are going to hang the chain pulley must be in the
position to take up the load.
Use only accessories such as slings that have a load capacity that is higher than the
maximum load capacity of the chain pulley.
MAINTENANCE
We recommend a monthly maintenance. The lubrication is crucial for lifting equipment as they carry
heavy loads. All limitations due to dirt, rust, etc. may either cause slow or jerky movements and
damage components. The following steps ensure that the lifting equipment remains in a good
condition:
• Oil the chains with a cloth soaked in oil.
• Check the hook for cracks and warping.
• Check the safety tabs on the hook, this should be able to be folded in easily and fold back out to
the hook automatically by the spring force.
• If the lifting equipment has been subjected to abnormal load or impact, take it out of operation and
have it checked by a specialist person before using again.
• Clean all surfaces and maintain all labels and warning notes.
• A visual inspection of the chain must be carried out annually. In doing so, check the individual links
for cracks at the weld seams.
Attention: if cracks are determined on the chain or their weld seams, or if other damage is
determined, the chain pulley must be removed from the work area and marked as defective until it is
repaired.
