CALIBRATION PROCEDURE

1)
Turn balance on and allow unit to stabilize for 60 seconds. Press and hold the " MODE/CAL" key for 4 seconds, the correct
calibration (2,000 grams OR 4 LBS. 6.5 OZ) weight appears and flashes on the display.

With the correct calibration weight still flashing, press the " OFF" key and the display will read " CAL 0" . Place the correct
calibration weight gently on the tray top.
3)
When calibration is complete the unit will briefly display " CAL F" and then return to active weighing. The unit is now
calibrated. If you wish you may re-zero the unit by depressing the " ZERO" key.
NOTE: If " CAL E" appears instead of " CAL F" this indicates a calibration error has occurred and the calibration process should be
repeated. " CAL E" can occur when not followed the calibration steps in the correct order or due to an incorrect calibration weight
being applied.
FEATURES
POWER UP SEGMENT TEST- when first turning the unit on, all segments of the display will appear as shown below. This display will
remain for approximately 3 seconds and then reset to zero.
Stable Reading indication –A right facing arrow appears on the right side of the display indicating the weighing mode in which the
unit is operating. The arrow will disappear during weighing while the unit stabilize and then reappear when a stable value is reached.
Overload- When an applied load exceeds the units capacity/ " E" will appear on the display accompanied by the intermittent beeps.
Remove excessive load immediately,, The unit should return to normal operation.
Negative Value- Any tare value or a value left in memory will be displayed as a negative number once all weight is removed from the
unit. Depress " ZERO" to return the unit to zero.

KEY PAD FUNCTIONS

ON/TARE- Press this key to turn balance on. Once the balance is on the same key operates the additive tare feature, this function
has been specially designed weighing the substances, which requires to be held in a container, i.e. Liquids of powder, etc.

By following the operating procedure, the weigh of the empty container can be determined.
2)
While the container is still on the weighing platform. Press the " ON/TARE" key once. Then the display will return to " 0.0" ,
also a " " sign will appear on the left of the display which indicate tare function is activated.
3)
Adding the substance to be-weighed into contained and the balance display will now show the weight of the substance only.
4)
To obtain the gross weight of the substance and the container, press the " ON/TARE" key once and the total reading will be
shown.
NOTE: When the entire load is removed from the balance, the display will show a negative value equal to the tarred value of the
container. To reset the balance to zero press the " ZERO" key.
MODE/CAL: This key allows the user to select weighing unit " oz" - ounces or " g" grams. And the balance is set to " oz" once
manufactured. A" " " " sign will appear on the display next to the weighing unit selected.
Note: " CAL" for this key function refer to CALIBRATION PROCEDURE
ZERO- PRESS " ZERO" to reset the balance to zero. The " ZERO" can be used to perform the calibration procedure as outlined under
calibration. " ZERO" can be used from a sample (or the procedure) the weight value of a container. The container weight is prematurely
removed from the remainder of the procedure.
OFF- Turns scale off
