raised rear end of the sliding switch (2)
(switch position "0").
Avoid inadvertent starts: always switch the
tool off when the plug is removed from the
mains socket or if there has been a power cut.
7.3
Working With the Machine
• Always switch on the machine before offering up
to the workpiece.
• Guide the machine so that the blade (7) in the
cutting base is parallel with the workpiece.
• Guide the machine forwards without using
excessive force.
• When cutting to the edge of sheet material
(particularly when cutting along a scribe line),
guide the machine so that the cutting base (10) is
positioned on top (i.e. the machine upright with
the blade in the ram below the workpiece).
8. Maintenance
Pull the plug out of the plug socket before any
adjustments or servicing are performed.
8.1
Blades
The blades have four sharp cutting edges If one
edge becomes blunt, rotate the blades 90° to use
the next sharp edge.
The blades are not designed to be sharpened.
Replace the blades when all four cutting
edges are blunt.
Never work with blunt blades!
Replacing the blades, see Section 9.

switches off automatically. This prevents damage to
the motor.
The carbon brushes should be replaced by the
