CORRECT USE OF THE PRODUCT
Moppy is for indoor home use to clean and
sanitise hard and delicate floors as well as
every type of vertical washable surface (tiles,
cabinet doors, marble walls, etc.). Please read
these instructions carefully and keep them. If
this manual is lost, it can be consulted and/or
downloaded
from
www.polti.com.
Never
leave

Because before leaving our factory all our
products are rigorously tested. Moppy may
contain some residual water in the tank.
Correct use of the product is only as detailed in
this instruction manual. Any other use may da-
mage the appliance and invalidate the war-
ranty.
WHICH WATER TO USE IN THE
BOILER
Moppy has been designed to function with
normal medium-hardness tap water between
8°f and 20° f. If the tap water contains a lot of
limescale use a mix composed of 50% tap wa-
ter and 50% demineralised water which is wi-
dely available to purchase. Do not use pure
demineralised water.
Warning: check the hardness of the water at
the technical office at your local council or
the local water supplier.
Never use distilled water, rain water or water
containing additives (e.g. starch, perfumes),
or water produced by other domestic ap-
pliances, by water softeners or filter jugs.
Do not put chemical, natural, detergent, or li-
mescale removing substances, etc. into the
tank.
MOPPY
Moppy is the new cleaning system for floors
and vertical washable surfaces.
It has a dual function:
1) Sanitizing cleaning function: to wash and
sanitise, detergent-free, every type of floor
(tiles, ceramic surfaces, stoneware, terracot-
ta, parquet, marble, etc.) or vertical washable
surface with the warm cloth soaked with
steam.
2) Dust catching function: to remove dust
with electrostatic cloths.
Tests performed by third party, independent
laboratory certify that the Polti Moppy sy-

stem removes, in one stroke, and eliminates
99.9% of germs and bacteria if used with
steam based on the instructions included in
this manual with the microfibre cloth moun-
ted and for a standing time of 20 seconds on
the docking station.
1. PREPARATION FOR USE

contact with body parts. Always allow
the steamer to cool down before
handling.
To reduce the risk of personal injury
unplug the power cord from the
electrical outlet and let the appliance
and the accessories cool down completely
before handling.
Always make sure that the appliance is
unplugged

including adding water or cleaning the
appliance.

Remove
Moppy
checking that the product is intact and that all
the parts are present.
1.2 To prepare the base, see Fig. B, install the
hose with ergonomic handle on the base (1) by
pushing it until you hear the "click" and until the
lock button is visible (2).
The base is now ready.
1.3 To prepare the brush, see Fig. A, remove the
lock hook (3), unscrew the lock joint (4) and put
it on the brush hose (5), then insert it into the
plate section (6) and turn it until the holes (7)
coincide, then insert the lock hook (8) and tigh-
ten the joint (9) again.
1.4 The brush handle is height-adjustable: grasp
the two parts of the aluminium handle and turn
the upper part anti-clockwise to release it, then
adjust to the desired height and complete the
operation turning the upper part clockwise (10),
firmly tighten.
1.5 Fill the water tank of the base: press the up-
per door PUSH (11) to open it, fill up to Max ca-
pacity 24 fl oz (0.7 l) (12) and close by pressing
the door again.
WARNING: Do not add other substances or
additives to the tank.
This operation must always be carried out
with the power cable unplugged from the
power supply.
1.6 Unwind the power cable completely and
connect it to an appropriate socket (13).
