motion
detection
with
protection.

Protection degree: IP20, for indoor use;
Self-extinguishing plastic box UL-94 V0;
Compatibility:
Compatibility with iThink module: V1.0 or higher.
Compatibility with Mordomus software: Mordomus iThink
V2017 or higher.
ATTENTION:
Never remove the circuit board from its housing.
Never crimp or cut cables while they are connected
to powered equipment.
The module is not provided with additional protection
against short circuit, therefore it is recommended to
use a power supply with the correct specifications.
Mordomus shall not be liable for any damages
resulting from the use of our equipment outside the
specifications and/or for a purpose other than that
intended.
Do not install the iMS5 directly exposed to the light of
fluorescent lamps or other light sources;
The light emitted by fluorescent lamps might disturb
iMS5
the learning process of an infra-red command.
The line of sight from the device to the iMS5 should
be unobstructed.
The iMS5 supports most protocols used in remote
controls, however it is possible that there is a specific
remote control that can't be interpreted;
When interfacing with Air conditioners the scheduled
functions of those might not work as expected. Since
the time on these units is set by the remote control,
by repeating a command, the same time will always
be sent to the unit.
Since
the
iMS5
is
a
receiver/transmitter it will not respond to remote
control keys being held (volume up for ex.). In order
to increase the volume, the key has to be pressed for
the number of times necessary to reach the desired
level.

HW 1.0
MDiBus and 15VDC power supply connection: The iMS5 should
be connected to the MdiBus and the power supply via the iPSB
module using UTP Cat6 cable.
the previous Table should be respected. The example specifies the
wiring from iMS5 to the branch 1 of the iPSB module.
Connecting more than one iMS5 on the same iPSB branch:
The connection of multiple iMS5 modules in the same extension is
universal

possible as long as the MDiBus passes through all the iMS5
modules and the last iMS5 module has the MDiBus return
connected to the MDiBus A IN and MDiBus B IN. See
PIR and Tamper inputs connections: The connection of the PIR
and Tamper contacts must be made according to the following

LED indicator motion detector
disables the LED indicator of the motion detector. It is advised to
keep this jumper removed as the LED might interfere with the iMS5
luminosity sensor.
PIR sensitivity
: Removing this jumper decreases the
sensitivity of the PIR detector (response time). This option is
recommended in cases where the sensor is installed in an
environment
with
rapid
electromagnetic interferences. For further information refer to the
manual of the motion detector.
