ROUTINE MAINTENANCE

CLEANING COFFEE SUPPLY UNIT

In order to optimise the operation of the supply unit and to keep it always in perfect working
order, it should be cleaned weekly as follows.
1. Lift cover 11 of the coffee supply unit and use cleaning device 20, supplied with the NEW SZ
coffee machine, to drop the empty capsule into the capsule holder drawer 16.
2. Close cover 11 and press the manual coffee supply button 6. With this set up, the water will
not flow through the spout but will pour directly into the capsule holder drawer 16.
3. Interrupt the supply after about 15 seconds.
4. Lift cover 11 and, using cleaning device 20 again, press on the jaws of the unit, so that they
perform a few operations without a capsule.
5. Repeat the operations described in points 2, 3 and 4 above at least twice.

CLEANING SUPPLY SPOUT

It is recommended that the coffee spout be cleaned at least once a month, as follows, in order
to keep the coffee machine in perfect working order.
1. Place quite a large cup beneath the coffee supply spout 12.
2. Insert the empty capsule supplied with the coffee machine in the coffee supply unit and re-
close the cover.
3. Press the manual coffee supply button and wait about 30 seconds before interrupting
the supply.
4. Empty the cup and place it beneath the spout again.
5. Press the manual coffee supply button again and wait about 30 seconds before interrupting
the supply.
6. Use cleaning device 20 to drop the empty capsule into the capsule holder drawer.
7. Recover the empty capsule from the drawer for future use.
