SERVICE AND STORAGE
Infrequent Service
If the unit is used infrequently, difficult starting may
result. To eliminate hard starting, follow these
instructions:
1.
Run the generator at least 30 minutes
every
month.
2.
Run the generator, then close the fuel
shut-off
valve and allow the unit to run until the
engine
stops.
3.
Move the engine switch to the "OFF"
position.
Long Term Storage
It is important to prevent gum deposits from
forming in essential fuel system parts such as the
carburetor, fuel hoses or tank during storage. Also,
experience indicates that alcohol-blended fuels
(called gasohol, ethanol or methanol) can attract
moisture, which leads to separation and formation of
acids during storage. Acidic gas can damage the fuel
system of an engine while in storage.
When the generator set is not being operated, or is
being stored for more than one month, follow these
instructions to avoid engine problems: 1-ADD a
Lithium Battery
