Before commissioning this tool it is imperatively necessary to read, understand and follow the operating
instructions.
General safety instructions and personal safety
ATTENTION
• Before commissioning this device completely and thoroughly read, observe and follow these operating instructions including
the safety instructions. Then keep these operating instructions at an appropriate place – accessible for each user of the
device.
• The device must only be commissioned, installed, used, cleaned and maintained by skilled persons who understand and
follow these instructions. The user must be physically able to operate this device.
• In case of improper use as well as in case of any modification or combination with unsuitable foreign parts it may result in
property damages, severe damages caused to health of oneself as well as third persons and animals.
• The applicable safety instructions, instructions regarding the working place and industrial safety regulations of the
corresponding country or of the corresponding range of use must be observed and followed, e. g. the German accident
prevention regulations.
• Make sure that the device is kept out of the reach of children and persons who are not familiar with the operation.
It is potentially hazardous if the tool is switched on by persons who are not familiar with the safety and operating instructions.
Risks at the working place:
• Slipping, stumbling and falling are the main reasons for severe or even lethal accidents. Be aware of hose lines in the way or
in the environment of the working place.
• Make sure to have a safe posture and a firm standing position.
• Repeated courses of movements, inappropriate posture and continuous vibrations can be harmful for hands and arms.
• A high noise level can result in constant hearing loss. Use the prescribed earmuffs.
• Avoid inhaling dust and contact with rubbing respectively material residues which are generated during the working
process – they can be harmful to your health.
• The operating and maintenance staff must be physically able to handle the size, weight and force of the device.
• This device is not designed to be used in rooms with explosion risk and must not get in contact with live parts.
• Please note that each material is subject to wear and that fatigue of the tools may occur.
• Hold the tool tight and make sure that you are standing safely in order to be able to resist the forces which are
possibly generated by the tool.
Risks caused by chips flying off:
• Also small chips which might for instance be thrown up by the exhaust air may cause eye injuries and consequently blindness.
When working with a compressed-air device, when repairing or performing maintenance work as well as when changing device
add-ons it is always necessary to wear corresponding eye and face protection (safety goggles, face shields).
• This also applies for all other persons, who are present in the danger zone.
• Immediately switch off the device in case of malfunctions and have it inspected by an authorized shop.
• In case of excessive vibrations, switch off the tool and have it inspected by an authorized specialized shop. It is forbidden to
continue operating the device without taking corresponding corrective measures.
Personal safety
• Only use the device when you are woken up and rested.
• Always be aware of what you are doing and work with common sense when operating the tool.
• Do not use the device when you are tired or under the influence of medicine, alcohol or medication. A little carelessness can
result in severe and serious injuries.
