Earpiece Selection
It is important that your in-ear headphones fit correctly and
comfortably. An incorrect fit will degrade both the noise-cancelling
and audio quality of your headphones.
Earpiece Size Selection
• Your ATH-ANC3 in-ear headphones come with a selection of Small,
Medium and Large rubber earpieces.
• Make certain that you choose earpieces that fit your ears; insertion and
removal should be easy, and they should be comfortable to wear.
• Medium sized earpieces are attached to the headphones
at shipment.
• If these do not fit your ears, replace them with the Small or the
Large earpieces.
How to Wear Earpieces
• Wear the left headphone (marked L) in your left ear; and the right
headphone (marked R) in your right ear. Note: The L and R designations
are at the base of the cable strain relief near where the cable exits the
headphone and also on the inside face of the driver housing near
the earpiece.
• Insert the rubber earpiece on the headphone into your ear so it fits
snugly and comfortably. The cord should be positioned towards the
bottom of your ear for correct entry into your ear.
• Do not push beyond the ear canal opening.
How to Replace Earpieces
• To remove the old earpiece, hold the earphone and gently pull the
earpiece, twisting slightly if needed.
• To replace an earpiece, slide the new earpiece over the earphone stem
until the earpiece completely encloses the stem
• The earpiece should grip tightly around the stem.
• Rubber tips will wear over time. Replacement earpieces are available
from Audio-Technica dealers and from the Audio-Technica Service
Department.
How to Clean Headphones and Earpieces
• It is important to keep your earpieces clean and free of debris for
maximum performance. Check for earwax and any other obstructions in
the rubber earpiece and in the stem opening.
• To clean the headphones, wipe the earpiece and control pack with a
clean, soft cloth. Do not use solvents.
• For periodic cleaning of rubber earpieces, remove from headphones and
wash rubber earpieces with warm water. Make certain rubber earpieces
are completely dry before reinstalling on headphones.
