NOTE: The water temperature does not need to be adjusted if the maximum water
temperature is below 105°F (41°C).
Lift and turn the lever handle to the full hot position.
Determine the temperature using a thermometer. If the temperature exceeds 105°F
(41°C), complete the following steps.
Using a small flat-blade screwdriver, carefully pry the plug button off the lever
handle.
Loosen the setscrew on the handle with a hex wrench, then remove the handle
and bonnet.
Note the position of the locking ring relative to the inner geared ring.
NOTE: To avoid damage to the locking ring during removal, pry each side of the
locking ring off the inner geared ring with an equal and even technique.
Gradually pry each side of the locking ring up off of the inner geared ring and
onto the valve stem with a flat-blade screwdriver.
Rotate the valve stem clockwise to increase temperature, or counterclockwise to
decrease temperature.
Reinstall the locking ring into the inner geared ring.
Reinstall the bonnet and handle to the faucet body.
Test the setting and make any adjustments as needed.

free during normal residential use for as long as the original consumer purchaser owns
his or her home. If the Faucet should leak or drip during normal use, Kohler Co. will,
free of charge, mail to the purchaser the cartridge necessary to put the Faucet in good
working condition. This warranty applies only to Kohler Faucets installed in the United
States of America, Canada or Mexico ("North America").
Kohler Co. also warrants all other aspects of the faucet or accessories ("Faucet")*, (except
