Instructions
WARNING – Reading the operating
instructions will reduce the risk of
injury.
WARNING Read all safety warnings
and instructions. Failure to follow all
safety warnings and instructions may result
in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury.
Keep all safety instructions and informa-
tion for future reference.
Always charge batteries in chargers
recommended by the manufacturer.
Chargers designed for a specific type of
battery may pose a fire hazard when used
together with other battery types.
Always insert the correct batteries in the
battery hand lamp. Using other batteries
may cause injuries and pose a fire hazard.
When not in use, keep batteries away
from paper clips, coins, keys, nails,
screws or other small metal objects that
could bridge the contacts. Short circuits
between battery contacts can cause burns
or fires.
Fluid may escape if batteries are used
inappropriately. Avoid all contact with this
fluid. In the event of accidental skin
contact, rinse the affected area thor-
oughly. If the fluid enters your eyes, seek
immediate medical assistance. Escaping
battery fluid can cause skin irritation or
burns.
Do not operate the battery hand lamp in
potentially explosive environments where
flammable dust, fluids or gases are
located. The lamp can generate sparks
which may ignite dust or vapours.
Avoid accidental operation. Make sure
that the battery hand lamp is switched off
before connecting the battery and picking
up or carrying the lamp. Accidentally
pressing the switch on the device or
connecting the device to the power supply
when already switched on can lead to acci-
dents.
Always switch off the battery hand lamp
when not in use.
Never use electrical devices with a defec-
tive switch. Electrical devices that can no
longer be switched on or off are dangerous
and must be repaired immediately.
Remove the battery before adjusting,
cleaning and storing the device or
changing accessories. These precau-
tionary measures prevent accidental opera-
tion of the battery hand lamp.
When not in use, keep the battery hand
lamp out of the reach of children. Do not
allow personnel to use the device unless
they are already familiar with it or have
read these instructions. Electrical devices
are dangerous when used by inexperienced
personnel.
Maintain the device carefully. Check that
all moving parts are functioning correctly
and do not seize, make sure that no parts
are broken or damaged to an extent
where they affect the function of the
battery hand lamp. Have damaged parts
repaired before using the device. Many
accidents are caused by poorly maintained
electrical tools.
Use the battery hand lamp, accessories,
etc. as described in these instructions.
Take into consideration the working
conditions and tasks required. Using elec-
trical devices for applications other than
those intended can lead to dangerous situa-
tions.
Always have your battery hand lamp
repaired by qualified personnel using
genuine spare parts. This will ensure that
the device functions safely.
Keep your battery hand lamp away from
heat sources and fires. Do not store your
battery hand lamp in moist or wet ambient
conditions. Do not store in locations
where temperatures may reach or exceed
40 °C. Examples include alcoves, motor
vehicles or metal structures during the
summer.
Do not clean with aggressive cleaning
agents.
Do not leave the battery hand lamp
switched on unattended.
Protect battery packs from water
and moisture!
Do not expose battery packs to
naked flame!
Do not use faulty or deformed battery
packs!
Do not open battery packs!
Do not touch or short-circuit battery packs!
Slightly acidic, flammable fluid may
leak from defective Li-ion battery
packs!
If battery fluid leaks out and comes
into contact with your skin, rinse
immediately with plenty of water. If
battery fluid leaks out and comes into
contact with your eyes, wash them with
clean water and seek medical attention
