NOTE:
The side pocket fitting kit may only be installed in vehicles with a new rear
outrigger, as of VIN number VBKVS94009M960440.
If a vehicle below VIN number VBKVS94009M960440 already has a new
rear outrigger (B) (e.g. due to replacement), the fitting kit may, of course,
be installed.
If you are in doubt, perform a visual check:
(A) Old frame

Preparations

NOTE:
Perform the operations on both sides of the motorcycle.
- Remove the seat (6).
- Remove the grab handles (7).

- Remove the rear side part (8).
- Remove the exhaust clamp (9) with the heat protector (10).
- Remove the exhaust clamp (9) from the heat protector (10).
- Remove the rubber bushing (11) from the original heat protector (C) and
mount it in the new carrier (D).
