Operation
Preparing the unit for its first
use
Before using it for the first time, the
rechargeable battery built into the
handle unit must be fully charged.
The first charge will take at least 16
hours.
The handle unit then has an operat-
ing time of about 50 minutes.
• Connect the charging unit (2) to
the voltage supply specified on
the rating plate.
• Place the handle unit (7) on the
charging unit (2).
The charge indicator (8) lights up
in blue and shows that it is charg-
ing.
Note
• The handle unit (4) remains fully
charged for use if you leave it in
the charging unit for daily use.
Built-in overcharge protection pre-
vents any damage being caused
to the rechargeable battery.
• Maximum capacity of the re-
chargeable battery can be
achieved by discharging the re-
chargeable battery at least once
every 6 months. Disconnect the
charging unit (2) from the mains
and discharge the rechargeable
battery through normal use. Af-
terwards, fully charge the re-
chargeable battery again.
Note
• The maximum capacity of the re-
chargeable battery is only rea-
ched after several charging proc-
esses and depends on several
factors (condition of the recharge-
able battery, ambient tempera-
ture, method and frequency of the
charging process, etc.).
Cleaning your teeth
Warning
• When used for the first time, there
may be slight bleeding of the
gums. If bleeding of the gums per-
sists longer than 2 weeks, consult
your dentist.
Note
• Dentists recommend that you
brush your teeth for at least 2 min-
utes.
• It is recommended that you change
the brush head every 2-3 months.
• The unit switches off automatically
after 2 minutes for safety reasons
and to protect your teeth and
gums.
• Clean the brush head(s) (1) with
warm water before using for the
first time.
• Attach the brush head (1) to the
handle unit (7).
