3.4 CHANGING THE CUTTING EDGE
Each cross hatch cutter wheel has a total of 8
cutting edges, 4 on each side.
When a cutting edge becomes worn, simply
rotate the cutting wheel by 90° to use the next
cutting edge on that side. Repeat as necessary
until all four cutting edges are worn.
Remove the cutting wheel, turn over and re-fit
(see Section 3.2), to use the cutting edges on
other side.
3.5 CHANGING THE POSITION OF THE GUIDE WHEEL
The guide wheel can be positioned in one of two locations as
appropriate for the size of the test surface.
The tester is supplied with the guide wheel
fitted in position 1 but it can be moved to
position 2 for testing on small test panels
and surface areas.
To move the position of the guide wheel:
1 Use the hexagonal wrench supplied
to remove the guide wheel securing
screw by turning anti-clockwise.
2 Move the guide wheel to alternate
position.
3 Re-position and tighten the securing
screw.
