TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE

Problem
- For models with automatic stop,
the on/off light fails to go out
after brewing is complete.
- The on/off light fails to come
on.
- Water does not run through
completely.
- Increased noise level.
- The on/off light goes off while
the water is running through.
- The descaling detector light
flashes.
- The coffee does not flow into the
jug but the coffee-maker
functions

Possible cause
- Heating defective.
- Problem with electronic circuit.
- Appliance is not correctly
plugged in
- Coffee-maker lined with scale.
- Coffee-maker lined with scale.
- No water in tank.
- Thermal lid not fitted.
- The jug lid is clogged or the
filter-holder outlet is clogged.
- Lever not pressed sufficiently
(stainless steel jug).
- Lid is not unscrewed enough
(plastic jug).
- Hot air is compressing the lid.

Solution
- Contact a service centre.
- Plug in properly.
- Descale the coffee-maker.
- Descale the coffee-maker.
- Add water once the coffee-
maker has cooled down.
- Put the lid in place.
- Clean the lid thoroughly with
soapy water or the filter-holder
outlet (Fig. 10 to 13).
- Press fully (stainless steel jug).
- Check the position of marker
- Press the dome cap on the lid
to reduce pressure.
