ing into the ordinary refuse for dispos-
al, but arrange for the proper recy-
cling.
Old appliances contain valuable ma-
terials that can be recycled. Please
arrange for the proper recycling of old
appliances. Please dispose your old
appliances using appropriate collec-
tion systems.

Scope of delivery
The scope of delivery of your appliance is il-
lustrated on the packaging. Check the con-
tents of the appliance for completeness
when unpacking.
In the event of missing accessories or any
transport damage, please contact your
dealer.
Warranty
The terms of the guarantee applicable in
each country have been published by our
respective national distributors. We will re-
pair possible faults on your unit free of
charge within the warranty period, insofar
as the faults are caused by material defects
or defective workmanship. Guarantee
claims should be addressed to your dealer
or the nearest authorized customer service
centre, and supported by documentary evi-
dence of purchase.

Ordering spare parts and special
At the end of the operating instructions you
will find a selected list of spare parts that
are often required.
You can procure the spare parts and the at-
tachments from your dealer or your
KÄRCHER branch office.
Safety instructions
DANGER
The appliance may not be used in areas
–
where a risk of explosion is present.
The ash filter must not be used for the
–
separation of hazardous substances.
WARNING
Do not vacuum up soot.
–
Do not vacuum up burning or smolder-
–
ing objects (e.g. cigarettes, charcoal,
ashes). The temperature must be below
40 °C.
If the temperature of the vacuumed ma-
–
terial exceeds 40 °C, there is a fire haz-
ard.
Only ashes from permissible fuels (e.g.
–
natural wood, wooden briquets, wood
pellets, lignite and hard coal) must be
vacuumed.
Vacuuming material which appears to
–
have cooled down from the outside may
still be very hot inside. Hot ash particles
may ignite again in the air flow.
Stir up the ashes with a metal object to
–
check whether the ashes are still hot.
Please make sure that the oven is cold
–
before you vacuum clean ovens.
Continuously check tubes, ash filter,
–
and vacuum cleaner for excessive tem-
peratures during the vacuum cleaning.
If you notice a temperature rise, switch
off the vacuum cleaner immediately.
Disconnect the vacuum cleaner from
the mains, and remove the filter bag.
Remove the vacuuming material from
the ash filter. Let both appliances (vac-
uum cleaner and ash filter) cool down
under supervision.
