Transport and storage

Fully pull the old line out of the line head.
Î
Push one end of the new trimming line into the
Î
line eye and push the trimming line through until
it extends about 10 cm out of the opposing line
eye M 2 .
Pull the projecting end out so far that the same
Î
length of line extends out on each side M 3 .
Hold the spool cap firmly and rotate the line head
Î
anticlockwise until about 15 cm projects from each
line eye N 4 .
Note
Never press in the line head during winding
on of the line!

Risk of injuries due to the cutting tool.
¾ Only adjust the device with the motor
switched off and the cutting tool at a
standstill.
¾ Do not reach into the area of the rotating
line.
¾ Always remove the power pack prior to
working on the device.
Turn the line head [B] left or right until the hole [D]
Î
in the spacer [A] is aligned with the recess [E] of
the gear casing. Push the retaining rod [F] through
the recess into the hole and hold it tight to prevent
the drive shaft [G] from turning.
Screw the line head off and remove it by turning
Î
the line head mounting [C] clockwise.
Note
Only tighten the line head when it mounted
on the line head mounting.
Remove the spacer [A] before attaching a new
Î
housing. Remove any dirt and grass from the
motor housing and the spacer.
Follow the instructions in the section "Fitting the
Î
line head".

Transport and storage
Risk of injuries due to the cutting tool.
¾ Before transport or storage, switch off
the device and wait until the cutting tool
comes to a standstill.
¾ Remove the power pack before transport
or storage.
Storage
Thoroughly clean your device after every season.
Î
Always store the device in a dry and safe location
Î
that is inaccessible to children.
Store the power pack and trimmer separately.
Î
Store the power pack in a cool and dry loca-
Î
tion. Recommended storage temperature ap-
prox. 0 - 23°C Keep the trimmer and especially its
plastic components away from brake fluids, petrol,
mineral oil containing products, penetrating oils
etc. They contain chemical substances that can
damage, attack or destroy the plastic components
of the trimmer.
Fertilizers and other garden chemicals contain
Î
substances that may have a highly corrosive effect
on the metal parts of the trimmer. Therefore do not
store your trimmer in the vicinity of these sub-
stances.
