Safety Instructions
•

It is part of the product and contains important information for correct use.

The user manual must be available for uncertainties and passing the product.
Notes for network separation
The product has no power switch and may be used only in easily acces-
sible outlets to quickly remove it in an emergency and after use.
Voltage-free only with pulled plug.
•
In case of emergency, during thunderstorms and after use, pull the product
on its plug housing!
•
Do not open the housing.
•
Do not modify product and accessories.
•
Use product, product parts and accessories only in perfect condition.
•
In case of questions, defects, mechanical damage, trouble and other probl-
ems, non-recoverable by the documentation, contact your dealer or produ-
cer.
•
Installation, assembly, maintenance and repair work must be carried out
only by trained electrical specialists.
Not recommended for children and people with physical and / or mentally limited
capabilities.
•
Secure packaging, small parts and insulation against accidental use.
•
NEVER let the product unattended in use.
•
Place, install and transport product, product parts and accessories in a safe
way.
•
Mind placing cables in a way, nobody will be disabled and the cable not be
damaged.
•
Protect your eyes and body from solder splashes by wearing appropriate
work clothing.
•
Do not use the device to heat liquids or plastics.
•
Do not touch the metal parts of the soldering iron during and immediately
after use.
The soldering iron reaches temperatures above 520°C. Touching the
heated metallic parts can cause serious burns to people and animals.
•
Always place the soldering iron in the holder provided after use.
•
Do not immerse the soldering iron in water to cool it down.
•
Avoid proximity to flammable surfaces and substances and explosive mate
rials.
•
Do not operate the product in a potentially explosive environment.
• Only carry out soldering work in well-ventilated rooms or under a suitable
fume hood, as soldering fumes are hazardous to health.
•
Avoid stresses such as heat and cold, moisture and direct sunlight, micro-
waves, vibrations and mechanical pressure.
• Only carry out soldering work on current- and voltage-free parts.
For use in industrial plants, the relevant legal regulations for accident
prevention must be observed.
•
Switch off the soldering iron during longer work breaks.
•
When soldering cables and contacts, make sure that bare metal parts are
protected against contact e.g. by insulation.
•
During repair work, the manufacturer's recommendations for the use of
suitable soldering agents such as soldering paste, soldering tincture, etc.
must be observed.

Intended Use
Your product is designed for domestic use and soft soldering applications
only.This means that it may only be used for soldering / desoldering
electrical and electronic components in printed circuits and modules, for
Tin plating of conductor tracks and cable ends and used to make cable connections.
Any use other than that described in chapter „Description and Function" or in the
„Safety Instructions" is not permitted.
This product may only be used in dry indoor rooms. Non-observance and non-com-
pliance with these regulations and the safety instructions can lead to serious
accidents, personal injury and damage to property.

Preparing
Caution!
Under no circumstances should the soldering iron be opera-
ted without a soldering tip.
1.
Check the scope of delivery for completeness and integrity.
2. Compare the specifications of product, power supply and peripherals.
These must be identical.
3. Place the supplied holder on a flat, fireproof surface.
4. Make sure that the soldering tip is firmly seated in the soldering iron.
5.
Connect the mains plug to a mains socket.
The soldering iron is ready for use.

Soldering tip change
Caution!
Only change soldering tips when the unit is switched off
and has cooled down.
1.
Loosen the screw connection with which the used soldering tip is attached
to the soldering iron.
2.
Remove the used soldering tip.
3. Push the new soldering tip in as far as it will go and screw it tight.
4.
Burn the new soldering tip before use to remove any residue.

Maintenance, Cleaning, Storage and Transport
• Always unplug the appliance and let it cool down first!
• Ensure sufficient ventilation even during work breaks and while the unit is
cooling down.
• Check the screw connection with which the soldering tip is fixed regularly
for a tight fit and retighten it if necessary.
• Only use a dry and soft cloth for cleaning.
•
Do not use cleaning agents and chemicals.
•
Store cool and dry.
•
Store the product out the reach of children and in a dry and dust-protected
ambience when not in use.
•
Keep and use the original packaging for transport.

Disposal Notes
7.1
Product
According to the European WEEE directive, electrical and electronic
equipment must not be disposed with consumers waste. Its components
must be recycled or disposed apart from each other. Otherwise contami-
native and hazardous substances can pollute our environment.
As a consumer, you are committed by law to dispose electrical and electronic de-
vices to the producer, the dealer, or public collecting points at the end of the devices
lifetime for free. Particulars are regulated in national right. The symbol on the pro-
duct, in the user`s manual, or at the packaging alludes to these terms. With this kind
of waste separation, application, and waste disposal of used devices you achieve an
important share to environmental protection.

Packaging
Packaging can be disposed of free of charge at the suitable collection
points – paper belongs in paper bins, plastics belong in yellow sacks and
glass belongs in used glass bins.
