Safety and hazard information
The regulations for the use of energy meters must be observed.
The piping system must be fully earthed.
Lightning protection must be guaranteed via the house installation.
Only clean the outside of the meter using a soft, slightly moistened cloth.
Power supply
Lithium battery, cannot be replaced.
Device properties
The computer unit is non-detachable
Suitable for circulating water without additives (exceptions: see AGFW FW510)
The heat meter is available in the variants "WZM S/F" for installation in ascending or
down pipes (see front image) as well as "WZM" for horizontal installation.
The heat meter is suitable for radio transmission. Radio transmission is activated using
the TAVO software (see TAVO online help and the TAVO manual).
Environmental conditions
Installation: sufficient spacing (min. 300 mm) between the computer unit and possible
sources of electromagnetic interference • Do not connect to the building's earthing •
Choose a dry, easily accessible place
Operation: 5...55°C • IP 54
Installation
Prerequisites
Protect against magnetite and dirt with suitable equipment (e.g. strainers, water treat-
ment, filters).
Shut-off valves must be installed in front of the strainer and behind the heat meter.
The installation kit from Techem with a replacement pipe section for the meter, meter
screw connections, a special ball valve, welding sleeves and dip sleeves must be
installed in accordance with the installation instructions.
