Installation

Only by qualified skilled craftsmen or specia-
list personnel trained by Techem!
Prerequisites:
•
Meter with radio module: Distance from power
supply lines ≥ 300 mm
•
Shut-off valves for later meter swap
•
Switch off devices connected on the supply net-
work in order to avoid damage from overpressure
or overtemperature.
Procedure:

Close the valve in front of the water meter.

Bleed lines.

Close the valve behind the water meter, empty
the lines if the valve is missing.

Release the screw joint using appropriate
tools.

When installing in plastic conduits, always use
the EPDM seals provided especially for this
purpose.

Observe the installation position.
Use new seals which are approved for drinking
water. Do not screw the screw joint on too tight-
ly.

EPDM seals: When using EPDM seals, tighten
the union nut by hand and then

Open the tap connections.
Open the valve behind the water meter.

Open the valve in front of the meter slowly.

Implement a function check.

Close tap connections and check the leak
tightness of the system.

Seal the screw joint connectors.
