1. The cabin filter is located in a plastic housing below the glove box. You may want to place something on the floorboard to

catch any debris that may fall out of the filter during removal.
2. Remove the cover from the bottom of the housing. It is held in place by a locking clip that will slide towards the rear of the
vehicle. (Fig 1)
3. The cover and locking clip are two separate parts that snap together. (Fig 2)
4. To remove the old filter, pull straight down and out of the housing. Also, because of the limited clearance between the filter
housing and the floorboard, the filter must bend at about 45 degrees as it slides out. (Fig 3) Note: On some vehicles,
the filter has a tendency to rub against the insulated heater core tubes located in the housing. (Fig 4) This may cause
the filter to snag and be a bit more difficult to pull out. If this occurs, move the filter slightly up and then back down
to release (you may have to do this several times throughout the removal process).
5. Slide the new filter into place making sure that the air flow indicator arrow is pointing towards the driver's side of the vehicle.
The FRAM FRESH BREEZE cabin air filter is manufactured with partial cuts in its sidewalls to allow it to bend. Note: On some
vehicles, the filter has a tendency to rub against the insulated heater core tubes located in the housing. (Fig 4) This
may cause the filter to snag and be a bit more difficult to install. If this occurs, move the filter slightly down and then
slide back up to release (you may have to do this several times throughout the installation process).
6. Replace the housing cover and slide the locking clip toward the front of the vehicle.
