WARNING: To prevent electric shock, make sure the lamp is
not plugged in until all assembly steps are complete.
CAUTION: TIP HAZARD.
DO NOT MOVE SHADE OR ACCESSORIES outside of the
shaded area as shown in Figure 1. Shade and accessories
must be kept within the shaded area and must align in the
same forward-facing direction as the base.
LAMP ASSEMBLY
1. Make sure the lamp is not plugged
into an electrical outlet.
2. Remove wrench (F), bolt (E) and washers (D) from the
plastic bag included in the box containing the base.
NOTE: On occasion, washers (D) may be ONE solid
washer that will serve the same purpose.
3. With power cord aligned toward rear of base, firmly insert
the stem of the lamp into the hole located in the top of the
base.
4. While holding stem into base of lamp, invert the lamp so
the base is in the air.
5. Insert the bolt (E) through the lock washer (D) then
through the flat washer, and finally into the recessed hole
in the bottom of the base, as indicated in the diagram (C).
6. Using the enclosed wrench (F), tighten the bolt (E)
securely by turning clockwise.
7. Plug lamp into a standard 120V socket. Your lamp is ready
for use.
8. Turn lamp on or off by depressing rocker switch on
underside of shade.
TUBE INSERTION/REPLACEMENT
1. Make sure that the lamp is not plugged into an electrical
socket.
2. If the lamp has been in use, allow it to cool approximately 5
minutes before proceeding.
3. To install a tube (K) in the socket, grasp the tube firmly in
your hand. Align tube pins with mating socket pin-holes,
clip the tube into the shade clip, then push it straight
into the socket until it "snaps" into place. Do not apply
pressure to the glass end of the tube. Pressure can
be applied to the tube base.
24w Classic Floor Lamp
4. To remove a tube (K) already installed in the lamp, grasp
the tube firmly in your hand, angle it slightly out of the
shade clip and then, using a slight side-to-side rocking
motion, pull it straight out of the socket. Do not twist or
turn the tube.
BE CAREFUL TO AVOID TUBE BREAKAGE FROM HITTING
THE TUBE ON THE SHADE END.
5. Plug the lamp into a standard 120V outlet.
6. Turn lamp on or off by depressing switch (J).
Please note that in operation, OttLite
tubes are not
