3. GETTING STARTED
Find an area without traffic and with enough space for you to get used to the
EGRET. Adjust the handlebars to a comfortable height for you.
Make sure that the securing lever on the footboard is firmly affixed and the quick
release has been tightened to lock the steering rod into place.
Fold up the kickstand and take a standing position in the middle. Always keep both
hands on the handlebars when riding.
Before riding the EGRET for the first time, get used to it by first "rolling" the
scooter without support from the motor. Don't switch on the motor until you feel
comfortable just rolling around. Riding without motor support will not damage the
scooter.
Briefly pressing the power button is enough to switch the scooter on. The display
lights up. The scooter is now ready to go and you can start off! Briefly pressing the
switch again when the scooter is turned on turns on the rear light. You can change
among speed increments using the "+" and "-" buttons on the throttle. Increase
it slowly.
NOTE
For safety reasons, the motor will only switch on after pushing
the scooter (kick-start feature).
