CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS
Maintenance Pads and Rescue Pads
Maintenance Pads For monthly cleaning and general cleaning. Remove grime
and light oxidation for improved track conductivity.
Rescue Pads For semi-annual cleaning. Remove heavy build-up and oxidation, and
smooth rough spots felt on track when cleaning with Maintenance Pads. After
landscape changes, clean track to remove adhesive and paint.
Cleaning Straightaways and Curves
• Place Rail Tracker in swivel position.
• Position Pads groove-side down and align grooves with top of rails.
Cleaning Switches, Turnouts and Road Crossings
• Place Rail Tracker in locked position.
• Position Pads smooth-side down and center on rails.

Instructions
1. Place Rail Tracker in swivel or locked position. Scrub rails with light
downward pressure.
2. When needed, clean Pads with Clean Track Solution. Rinse well and let dry.
Replace Pads when showing signs of wear.
CLEANING TIP! Clean straightaways and curves first. Then, clean switches,
turnouts and road crossings.
