Note
Conductors in electric cables are often
twisted. You will get the best results
by moving the detector [6] along the
cable for a certain length in order to
ensure that the sensor has immediate
contact with the cable.
Note
The non-contact AC voltage measure-
ments only serve to perform quick tests
and do by no means replace voltage
tests including direct contact.
The display also responds to static
charges. This is normal and not a
defect.
HOLD function
Use the HOLD function of the device to "freeze" a
measurement.
1. Press the HOLD button [2] in order to "freeze"
the current display:
HOLDis displayed.
2. Press the HOLD button [2] again in order to
return to normal operation.
Flashlight
As additional feature, the device is equipped with
a LED flashlight [8] which can be used even if the
device is switched off.
In order to activate the flashlight [8], keep the light
button [4] pressed.
Auto switch-off function
The auto switch-off function switches off the device
after 15 minutes.
Battery exchange
If the battery is low, the BAT symbol appears on the
display.
1. Remove the battery compartment cover [9] by
undoing the screw.
2. Remove the old batteries and insert two new
batteries type 1.5 V AAA (Art. 0827 01).
3. Re-fit and secure the battery compartment cover
[9].
Important!
Never use the device when it is
opened. Danger to life!

Cleaning and maintenance
Regularly check the technical safety of the device
and the measuring lines for e.g. damaged housing
or pinched lines / cables.
Important!
Prior to performing cleaning or repair
work all lines must be disconnected
from the measuring objects.
Never use cleaning agents which may damage the
surface of the measuring device. In addition, no
sharp-edged tools, screw drivers or metal brushes or
similar must be used. Use a clean, lint-free, antistatic
and dry cleaning tissue for cleaning the device,
display and measuring lines.
Environmental protection
Do not dispose of the device with
domestic waste. Dispose of the
device only via an authorized waste
management company or your
municipal waste management
organisation. Adhere also to the
applicable regulations. In case of
doubt refer to your waste management organisation.
Recycle all packaging material in an environmentally
friendly manner.
Batteries:
Do not dispose of batteries with domestic waste,
do not expose to fire or water. Collect and recy-
cle batteries or dispose of with due care for the
environment.
