Kit Purpose
This kit contains parts and materials to raise the height of the exhaust outlets by 6 inches (162 mm).
Kit PN 3888847 Applies to: 4.3GL-G(F), 4.3GXi-G(F), 5.0GL-G(F), 5.0GL-H(F), 5.0GXi-G(F), 5.7Gi-G(F),
5.7GXi-H(F)
Kit PN 3886143 Applies to: 8.1Gi-H(F) and 8.1GXi-G(F)
Kit PN 3888849 Applies to: 4.3L, 5.0L, & 5.7L Ocean Series (OSi) engines with spec. # 3869374 and later
Kit PN 3840961 Applies to:

All sterndrive engines with specification numbers between 3869305 and 3869350
•
8.1L Ocean Series (OSi) engines with specification numbers 3869382 and 3869283

a. Be sure to follow the instructions provided with the gasket kit (PN 3863191) for correct torque specifications on screws
and for surface preparation details when installing the gasket.
b. The Y-pipe used on 4.3L–5.7L engines (kit PN 3888687)
engine (kit PN 3885349) as it includes exhaust baffles which have been welded into place. The 8.1L kit
use baffles in the Y-pipe.
